We lived in Boston for 10 months while Creighton worked on a project there.

Walden Pond was 15 minutes from our apartment in Waltham, Mass. We loved coming here. It was so peaceful, especially after the bustle of Waltham. This particular day, an actor appeared as Henry David Thoreau and spoke to tourists as if it were 18-something.
We would love to see this area in the summer! It is so quiet and beautiful--a place of reflection.
Poor Eli! We dragged our baby everywhere. He slept when he could.
This is a beautiful spot overlooking the Atlantic ocean.
This is an amazing memorial. Fishermen who lost their lives are etched in stone along with the dates they perished. The dates went back to the 1600's. The main industry today is still fishing.
We drove route 127 along the coast. It is breathtaking. And in the winter all of these seaport towns are pretty much lifeless.
Creighton loved this small but beautiful zoo in Providence, RI. The polar bears were especially fun to watch. CJ and Hannah next to the elephant family.
Alex Nelson and CJ at the Nelson home in Needham, Mass. They had a ton of fun finding easter eggs. Alex and CJ were buddies. Alex introduced CJ to a computer game, Backyard Baseball. He has been hooked ever since.
Creighton and CJ visited Rowley, Mass, where the first Thomas Tenney came into America in the year 1636. The only name you can see on the gravestone is Tenney--everything else has been rubbed off. The original Tenney farmland is still in Tenney hands.
Hannah was in full day kindergarten at Douglas Macarthur Elementary School (it is now torn down and rebuilt). Mrs. Cedrone, her teacher, added to the great cultural access in the classroom.
Erica (Terrack) and her husband, Chris, came down from northern NY to visit us. It was so much fun! Erica is a high school friend and has pretty much traveled the world with the military and peace corps (her mother's contribution). It was so great to spend time with them.
We ate at an Italian restaurant and visited the famous Mike's Pastry.
What a historic baseball park. They still switch the scoring signs out by hand. Boston Red Socks vs Florida Merlins. Red Socks win!
We headed down to DC on Christmas Day, 2003. Traffic was horrendous and the mall area was BITTER COLD!! We couldn't stay out with the kids very long because the wind chill factor was so high!
No blooming cherry trees on such a day!
All 3 kids shared a room in our furnished apt. This can be hard when trying to get the baby to take a nap.
Where did that go? Somewhere in Boston--along with some skiing clothes and other things. Brenda flew home with Eli, and Creighton was left with the older kids to finish packing the moving trailer...
A look of surprise on the wife's face...after bringing home developed pics from Costco. It has made our life much easier!!
Creighton and Brenda had a very romantic weekend in Kennebunkport, Maine. They drove up RT 1A along the coast of Maine--BEAUTIFUL!! They even saw the Walker summer home--Pres George and Barbara Bush's hangout.
Brenda is VERY pregnant, with braces, posing with her cute CJ. The USS Constitution, Old Ironsides, is the oldest ship still in commission in the world. Still manned by the Navy.
My friend Laurie Lough set us up with her photographer friend from San Antonio and the pictures turned out fabulous!!
At 10am we were hit by a storm--it was black as night outside. An hour later we ventured out of our hotel room and in exploring the area, saw a huge tree that had split and toppled onto a house. The roof was completely caved in.
